NATSIHWA membership drive

16 Oct 2020

The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker Association (NATSIHWA) is recruiting members.

Are you a student, registered Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner or an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker?

The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker Association (NATSIHWA) is having a membership drive for the month of October. Membership is free and benefits students, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners.

Current NATSIHWA members who refer a new member in the month of October 2020 will receive a special gift pack for every successful referral and a chance to win a Google Home Mini for the most number of referrals. Applications must be made online, please refer to the website for full terms and conditions.

NATSIHWA is a national peak workforce association committed to ensuring Australia’s healthcare system meets the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.

A key part of NATSIHWA’s role involves directly supporting a national membership network of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and registered Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners.

Benefits for full members includes access to CPD activities and opportunities that assist with meeting Ahpra’s registration requirements, and a tool that logs and keeps track of your CPD hours for ease of recording and reference. Ahpra audits a small percentage of registrants each year and you can easily click in to get a log of your CPD from NATSIHWA to provide to Ahpra as evidence that you’ve met the requirements.

NATSIHWA’s most recent portal upgrade will enable student members access to a host of resources including journals and test the CPD tool in preparation for their registration as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners.

NATSIHWA is committed to continuously finding ways to support its membership, join now!
