Call for applications for appointment to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia

31 Mar 2021

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia (the Board) is calling for applications for appointment to the Accreditation Committee (the Committee).

There is a vacancy arising for a practitioner member from the Australian Capital Territory or the Northern Territory or Tasmania on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia.

Visit the Board member recruitment page to watch a video compilation from two recent Q&A webinar sessions, featuring current Board members discussing what is involved and what life is like as a board member.

All appointments are made by the Health Council (the Ministerial Council) per the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, as in force in each state and territory (the National Law).

Ahpra is committed to increasing diversity and social inclusion on National Boards. Applications are encouraged from people with a disability, people who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQI+ and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.

More information about the roles, eligibility requirements and the application process can be found within the online application form on Ahpra’s Board member recruitment page.

If you have questions, please contact the Ahpra statutory appointments team via email: [email protected].
